The company values teamwork, professionalism, and dedication, providing opportunities not only for career advancement but also for personal and professional development. KHC offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits to ensure a rewarding employment experience for its team members.
This Food and Beverage Manager position at Kinseth Hotel Corporation plays a crucial role in coordinating the food service activities across hotel and restaurant operations. This role is designed for someone who can operate effectively both independently and through subordinate supervisors, managing the dining room, bar, banquet, and kitchen operations to deliver superior service that meets the company’s standards. The manager will be responsible for cost control, menu planning, employee training, and maintaining quality and sanitation standards.
The Food and Beverage Manager will estimate food and beverage costs, manage supplies, and prepare detailed cost estimates for menus and banquet events. A significant aspect of this role is to perform product margin analyses to ensure offerings align with departmental profit objectives. Managing schedules, supervising inventory procedures related to food, liquor, linen, china, and glassware, and communicating with maintenance and housekeeping departments are all part of this management responsibility.
Training and developing staff on company policies, safety, guest service, and suggestive selling techniques are critical to the success of this position. The role also requires active participation in marketing strategy creation for the Food and Beverage department, utilizing market data and competitive insights. Supervisory responsibilities include managing between one and five subordinate supervisors and overseeing a workforce ranging from one to 150 employees within relevant departments. This includes hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical skills related to financial reports, and a solid understanding of accounting concepts relevant to hospitality operations. Candidates must be able to handle crisis situations with calmness and professionalism, respond to complaints, and maintain a professional image that aligns with KHC’s policies and standards. The working environment involves exposure to varied conditions including heat, cold, fumes, and use of kitchen equipment, demanding physical endurance and attention to safety protocols.
Kinseth Hotel Corporation offers a range of benefits including competitive wages, health, dental, and vision benefits available after 60 days, a 401k plan, paid training, and paid time off. They also provide unique perks such as DailyPay, a referral program, and discounts at all Kinseth hotels and restaurants. This position offers a great opportunity for hospitality professionals seeking to grow in a supportive and established company with diverse operational challenges and rewards.
