Job Description

Gianni's at The Villa Casa Casuarina is a distinguished dining establishment located within the iconic Villa Casa Casuarina, renowned for its luxurious ambiance, impeccable service standards, and a rich history rooted in exclusivity and elegance. The Villa itself is a landmark destination, celebrated not only for its architectural beauty but also for hosting an exquisite culinary experience through Gianni's Restaurant. As part of this esteemed venue, Gianni's offers gourmet cuisine paired with an extensive selection of wines and sakes, designed to provide guests with a refined and memorable dining experience. The restaurant's commitment to quality, combined with an intimate atmosphere and attention to detail, positions it as a sought-after destination for food and beverage connoisseurs in the region.

The role of Food and Beverage Captain (Assistant Manager) at Gianni's Restaurant is a pivotal position aimed at elevating the front-of-house operations while providing expert guidance and leadership to the service team. The Food and Beverage Captain acts as a key figure responsible for ensuring that each guest experiences impeccable service, personalized hospitality, and seamless coordination between the kitchen, bar, and floor staff. This position requires not only strong leadership skills but also an advanced understanding of wine and sake service, including knowledge of proper presentation, timing, and pairing. Although the role is titled Assistant Manager, it is categorized as a non-management position, focusing mainly on operational leadership rather than full managerial responsibilities.

In this capacity, the Food and Beverage Captain will lead by example, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to the highest service standards. The role also involves managing inventory levels for liquor and wine, maintaining the wine cellar, and assisting with orders to ensure all stock is adequately maintained to meet guest demand. Additionally, this individual must be adept at training staff, enhancing their menu knowledge and wine pairing expertise to ensure that all team members deliver consistent, knowledgeable, and attentive service.

The ideal candidate is someone with previous supervisory experience in fine dining who possesses a deep passion for hospitality and the art of wine service. They should excel in fast-paced, high-standard environments, demonstrating an ability to balance efficient operational tasks with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. The schedule for this position requires flexibility, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the industry's peak dining times. Gianni's offers this role with a full-time schedule and attractive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, and other employee perks. This position promises opportunities for growth and development within a prestigious, well-established culinary venue.
