Job Duties
- Take orders and serve customers using the point-of-sales system
- Ensure coffee stations and bar area, including beverage coolers and snacks, are stocked properly and consistently throughout the shift
- Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner, including but not limited to serving as a barista
- Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities
- Keep your service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared
- Ensure collection and recording receipt of appropriate payment (cash, credit card transactions)
- Handle and record cash and credit card transactions in accordance with company and City procedures
- Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner
- Maintain a working knowledge of beverages and food offered and how to prepare and serve them
- Provide assistance with setting up and breaking down food and beverage stations
- Setting up workstations as needed
- Serving water to guests and refilling beverage glasses as needed
- Placing and replacing silverware as needed
- Delivering beverages from the bartender
- Delivering food from the kitchen
- Stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, condiments, and salt and pepper containers
- Directing guests to restrooms or exits as needed
- Clearing tables and conference rooms throughout the venue as guests complete their meals /beverages and preparing tables for the next guests
- Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures and required training
- Touch-up vacuum as necessary
- Assists in cleaning, running dishwashers, restocking barware and other operational supplies, opening/closing tasks, and other duties as needed
- Heat up and service food items
- Assist in preparing salads, appetizers, entrée, or desserts, plating and adding garnishes to food
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by managers
- Maintain kitchen cleanness, including floors, floor mats of all outlets, and dish pit
- Trash removal to a designated location
- Event space set up and refresh, including setting up of meeting tables and chairs and Beverage & Food stations when business demands
