Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Take orders and serve customers using the point-of-sales system
  • Ensure coffee stations and bar area, including beverage coolers and snacks, are stocked properly and consistently throughout the shift
  • Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner, including but not limited to serving as a barista
  • Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities
  • Keep your service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared
  • Ensure collection and recording receipt of appropriate payment (cash, credit card transactions)
  • Handle and record cash and credit card transactions in accordance with company and City procedures
  • Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner
  • Maintain a working knowledge of beverages and food offered and how to prepare and serve them
  • Provide assistance with setting up and breaking down food and beverage stations
  • Setting up workstations as needed
  • Serving water to guests and refilling beverage glasses as needed
  • Placing and replacing silverware as needed
  • Delivering beverages from the bartender
  • Delivering food from the kitchen
  • Stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, condiments, and salt and pepper containers
  • Directing guests to restrooms or exits as needed
  • Clearing tables and conference rooms throughout the venue as guests complete their meals /beverages and preparing tables for the next guests
  • Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures and required training
  • Touch-up vacuum as necessary
  • Assists in cleaning, running dishwashers, restocking barware and other operational supplies, opening/closing tasks, and other duties as needed
  • Heat up and service food items
  • Assist in preparing salads, appetizers, entrée, or desserts, plating and adding garnishes to food
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by managers
  • Maintain kitchen cleanness, including floors, floor mats of all outlets, and dish pit
  • Trash removal to a designated location
  • Event space set up and refresh, including setting up of meeting tables and chairs and Beverage & Food stations when business demands
