Job Description

The golf course where this position is located is a well-established recreational facility known for providing an exceptional outdoor golfing experience complemented by quality amenities and services. Offering a combination of scenic landscapes and carefully maintained courses, this establishment caters to golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. The facility not only focuses on the sport itself but also emphasizes guest satisfaction through comprehensive services including food and beverage provisions. These services play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall experience for visitors, whether they are casual players or tournament participants. The golf course operates seasonally, typically opening from the middle of March through October, giving employees a dynamic and engaging work environment that changes with the seasons.

The role of Food & Beverage Attendant at this golf course is crucial in maintaining and elevating the guest experience. This position is specifically designed to manage and deliver food and beverage services across multiple venues within the golf course environment. The venues include the restaurant, the snack bar, and on-course snack shacks, which offer informal, fast food options designed to complement the leisurely pace of golf. This seasonal part-time position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about customer service and enjoy working in a hospitality setting that is fast-paced and guest-focused. Expectation management is key in this role, as it requires adaptability to varying workloads, which can range from 15 to 40 hours or more per week depending on weather, staffing, and daily business activity.

The Food & Beverage Attendant functions as a front-line ambassador for the golf course, providing high-quality and efficient service that directly influences customer satisfaction and sales. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering food and beverage products promptly and courteously, accurately handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of production and service areas. The occupant of this role must perform these duties with a consistently professional appearance and demeanor, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards at all times. The position entails working outside frequently, sometimes in varied weather conditions like heat or cold, necessitating a readiness to operate in a retail and recreational setting using various service equipment such as point-of-sale systems, cash registers, phones, and food service apparatus.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in food service within a recreational or sporting context, providing valuable experience in both customer service and operational procedures. Given its seasonal nature, it is particularly suitable for students or individuals seeking temporary employment from March through October, with flexibility regarding availability on weekends, holidays, and shifts. Applicants will find themselves part of a team that values enthusiasm, reliability, and quality service, contributing positively to the enjoyment and satisfaction of golf course patrons. The role promises exposure to a hospitality environment that emphasizes teamwork, guest interaction, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
