The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager role within Hayes Mansion is integral to maintaining and enhancing the high standards of service across all food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, room service, lounge, and banquet operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage management
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to use POS systems and Microsoft Office products
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets and word processing
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accurately

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards and scheduling
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with safety and operational standards
- Ensure training of all Food and Beverage/Banquet personnel according to company standards
- Maintain follow-through of all guest requests, problems, complaints and accidents
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline F&B personnel according to company SOPs
- Review F&B staff worked hours for payroll and submit to Accounting
- Attend staff meetings and provide training as scheduled
- Participate in interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Prepare employee shift schedules aligned with budget and productivity requirements
- Complete wage progress and productivity reports accurately and timely
- Assist with employee performance appraisals
- Implement company policies and house rules
- Develop and implement Food and Beverage promotional ideas
- Manage beverage costs to meet budget
- Maintain compliance with training standards
- Manage purchase orders, invoicing and accounting
- Promote sales and up selling programs
- Ensure service standards are maintained
- Participate in MOD coverage
- Manage Food and Beverage reporting
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting
- Ensure employees maintain courteous and attentive service
- Perform equipment inventory and purchasing
- Maintain credit policies
- React to market trends with promotions
- Conduct department meetings
- Attend daily BEO meeting
- Conduct beverage purchasing and monthly inventories
- Ensure food quality and presentation

- Oversee Banquet operations
- Use POS system for reporting and analysis
- Maintain key control systems
- Complete menu analysis
- Monitor cash overages and shortages
- Assist in emergency procedures
- Organize filing systems
