As a full-time Food and Beverage Supervisor at PENN Entertainment, you will play a vital role in managing and leading a Food & Beverage outlet, contributing to the company’s mission of delivering superior customer experiences. The role requires supervising designated shifts, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring that all activities meet operational goals and profit objectives. You will be responsible for creating efficient schedules that balance labor costs with staffing needs while achieving high levels of guest satisfaction. Importantly, you will assist in budgeting processes, providing recommendations and ensuring compliance with departmental budget initiatives.

This role demands a strong focus on customer service, promoting company standards, resolving conflicts, and maintaining guest satisfaction. You will enforce all relevant gaming laws and regulations applicable to the Food & Beverage Department. Additionally, you will be involved in maintaining sanitary conditions and quality service, controlling costs through inventory management, and assisting with administrative duties assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager. Regulatory compliance and confidentiality are critical components of your responsibilities.

You will also have supervisory responsibilities including staff development, training, evaluating performance, and fostering employee engagement through rewards and recognition programs. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two years of Food and Beverage supervisory experience
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with guests and staff
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratio, and percent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to handle flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in Food and Beverage
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff diplomatically
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including ratios and percentages
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Flexible to work shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime

Job Duties

  • Supervise an F&B Outlet designated to this role and manage daily shift operations
  • Support, administer, and monitor operational goals and profit objectives
  • Create effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs and achieving guest satisfaction
  • Assist in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with department budget initiatives and report concerns
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service standards
  • Enforce gaming laws and regulations applicable to the Food & Beverage Department
  • Assist in maintaining food service procedures and inspect menu items for customer satisfaction
  • Help ensure efficient, sanitary, and pleasant service for guests
  • Maintain cost control methods by monitoring pars and inventory
  • Assist Food & Beverage Manager with administrative duties
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and report potential issues
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental matters
