This role is for a Vehicle Operator who will play a vital role in supporting sale day events and general auction operations by safely operating various vehicles on the auction property. The position requires moving vehicles to, from, and on the auction premises, ensuring all vehicles are handled with care and according to company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws. The Vehicle Operator will be responsible for driving assigned vehicles through auction lanes during sale days, parking vehicles properly, and assisting with the movement of inoperable vehicles when directed.
The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid California driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Attention to detail, defensive driving skills, and the ability to communicate respectfully with dealer representatives and other customers are essential aspects of this role. The work schedule includes a morning shift starting at 7 am, with availability on Sunday through Saturday. This position offers a temporary-to-hire opportunity with full-time and part-time shifts available. The hourly wage is $17.00 per hour. Job Duties
- Operate vehicles to move cars to, from and on auction property
- Operate all vehicles safely in compliance with company policies and traffic laws
- Observe rules of the road and demonstrate courtesy and defensive driving techniques
- Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale days
- Drive and park vehicles on auction property
- Drive vehicles to and from customer dealerships and locations
- Align and park vehicles in proper order as directed
- Assist in movement of inoperable vehicles when directed
- Provide direct customer service to dealer reps, account representatives, rental agents
- Comply with all job-related safety and health procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor
