Job Description
Manheim is a leader in the automotive auction industry, providing end-to-end solutions that facilitate vehicle remarketing for dealers, manufacturers, and fleet operators worldwide. Their innovative platforms and large-scale auction events support the efficient buying and selling of vehicles, combining technology with physical auction sites. As a prominent subsidiary of Cox Automotive, Manheim is committed to providing exceptional service and operational excellence in the vehicle remarketing process. The company is known for its dynamic work environment and diverse employment opportunities including temp-to-hire positions, part-time and full-time shifts, catering to a variety of employee needs in the automotive auction space.
The role available is for a vehicle operator who plays an essential part in supporting sales day events and general auction operations. This position focuses on the safe and efficient operation of vehicles across auction properties during sale days as well as day-to-day activities. The responsibilities include moving vehicles to, from, and around auction premises, always adhering to company policies, traffic laws, and safety protocols. The vehicle operator will need to demonstrate professional and courteous driving on and off auction property, aligning and parking vehicles in designated areas according to auction protocols. The role also involves transporting vehicles to and from customer dealerships and other assigned locations, requiring punctuality and reliability.
Aside from driving duties, the vehicle operator will interact directly with dealer representatives, account representatives, rental agents, and other customers, thus necessitating strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Shifts are primarily morning-based, beginning at 7 a.m. with availability required throughout the week, including weekends. The position offers a competitive wage and the potential to transition into permanent employment, providing stability and career growth opportunities within Manheim’s extensive operations network. This role demands individuals who are responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced auction environment.
