A Picazzo's supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the restaurant's daily operations by managing the front-of-house activities and serving as a vital link between the guests and the team. In the role of Picazzo's supervisor, candidates are entrusted with various responsibilities designed to optimize the restaurant's performance and guest satisfaction. They assist the General Manager by managing employee performance, overseeing scheduling, motivating and coaching the team, and ensuring the efficient operation of the front of house. Key duties include supervising shifts and handling daily decisions to enhance operational standards, product quality, and cleanliness. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety guidelines, including being ServSafe certified, and promotes proper sanitary handling of food as well as maintaining cleanliness in both kitchen and dining areas. Financial responsibilities are also a significant part of the role, requiring accurate handling of reports, cash deposits, and personnel-related administrative tasks in accordance with company policies.
Guest service is a cornerstone of this position; the supervisor addresses guest complaints promptly and effectively to turn dissatisfied patrons into returning customers. They uphold the principles outlined in Picazzo's Mission Statement to inspire a positive dining experience for every guest. The role demands strong leadership qualities, including the ability to foster team collaboration and maintain professional restaurant image standards such as cleanliness and proper uniforms.

Job Requirements
- must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- servsafe certification is required
- at least 1 year of supervisory or restaurant management experience preferred
- must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting and lifting up to 45 pounds
- must be able to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- excellent communication and leadership skills required
- self-discipline, initiative and the ability to motivate employees
- ability to handle stressful situations and multitask effectively
Job Qualifications
- a combination of practical experience and education will be considered as sufficient
- basic knowledge of computer software such as ms word and excel
- must possess a valid drivers license
- must be eligible to work in the united states
- must have full-time availability
Job Duties
- assist in managing areas of the front of house restaurant and ensure a high level of guest service is being executed at the direction of the gm
- be a leader and an example in food and beverage knowledge of picazzo's menu and ingredients as well as operational policies and procedures
- ensure specific financial duties such as reporting, cash drops or deposits and personnel/timecard related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
- communicate and promote sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- ensure positive guest service in all areas and respond to guest complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
- supervise shifts including daily decision-making, scheduling and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
- provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues at the direction of the gm
- conduct orientation and assist in training and development of new employees
- develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and communicating performance expectations
- maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards
