Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior sommelier or wine steward experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in wine service roles
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Good physical stamina for standing and carrying wine cases
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use technology for inventory and communication
- Must pass TIPs or equivalent alcohol server training

Job Duties
- Responsible for departmental logistics efficiency
- assist in and conduct wine training for new and existing staff
- monitor and spot check wine deliveries and cellar organization
- provide friendly and efficient guest service
- work as a member of the beverage team and assist others
- offer wine expertise and guide guests in wine selection
- personalize service to build guest loyalty
- build guest preference notes in reservation system
- anticipate and meet guest needs
- recommend after dinner drinks
- maintain cocktail cart and make cocktails at tables
- monitor wine quality and glassware standards
- set up ice buckets and prepare glassware
- train staff on wine presentation and service
- organize daily pre-shift training and monthly wine classes
- communicate wine inventory and menu updates
- maintain wine inventory system and conduct monthly counts
- ensure accuracy of wine menus and POS
- coordinate with corporate teams on wine list updates
- handle wine deliveries and storage in absence of receiver
- collaborate with bar staff on cocktail orders
- prepare wine for events
- maximize financial performance and train staff on up-selling
- execute beverage inventories
- assist in beverage purchasing
- enforce alcohol service laws and TIPs training
- maintain safety and security of employees and guests
- continuously update personal wine knowledge and industry trends
