SA Hospitality Group is a renowned culinary organization rooted deeply in Italian tradition, founded by Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli. Established in 2003, this hospitality group has grown from its original concept to include several distinctive brands such as Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever, and Felice, boasting 24 premier restaurant locations across iconic neighborhoods in Manhattan, Southampton, East Hampton, Aspen, Milan, and Palm Beach. The group combines old-world Italian sensibilities with a modern-day touch tailored to meet the vibrant and sophisticated tastes of New York City clientele, making it a distinguished name in fine dining and hospitality.
The position of Sommelier within SA Hospitality Group is pivotal to delivering an exceptional dining experience. A Sommelier here is entrusted with the leadership and management of the restaurant's beverage program, focusing on maintaining the highest quality and consistency of wines and other beverages served. This role requires an individual who is passionate about wine and hospitality, someone who can educate and inspire staff while elevating the guests' overall experience through expert recommendations and impeccable service. The Sommelier orchestrates all aspects of wine service from the cellar to the table, including inventory management, staff training, and direct guest interaction.
This role demands a fine balance of logistics, customer service, product knowledge, administrative responsibilities, and adherence to legal compliance. The Sommelier works closely with both the kitchen and service teams to facilitate perfect wine pairings and ensures that every bottle served contributes to a memorable dining encounter. They also take an active role in organizing wine-related events and tastings, promoting the beverage program to maximize revenue, and fostering guest loyalty through personalized service. Ongoing self-development and staying abreast of industry trends are essential, with the company supporting further education relevant to the position.
Employment type is full-time, though specific salary details are not disclosed here. Employees must comply with all federal and state regulations, including age verification for alcohol consumption and employment authorization, reflecting the group’s commitment to legal and ethical standards. SA Hospitality Group offers an inclusive work environment that values diversity and adheres to equal opportunity employment practices, making it an ideal workplace for sommeliers passionate about wine and hospitality, seeking to advance their career in an esteemed, international setting.
