The role of Restaurant Manager at Granger's is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations to ensure superior guest satisfaction and seamless service delivery. The Restaurant Manager leads the service team by managing staff schedules, training, and development while maintaining high standards for restaurant appearance and operations. They play an essential role in maintaining compliance with state and local laws, coordinating with kitchen management to uphold food quality, and collaborating with the general manager on marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant's offerings. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Passion for food and beverage
- Positive attitude and solution oriented
- Self-motivated and self-aware
- Able to stand for 10 hours at a time
- Able to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Takes initiative and has a sense of urgency
- Available to work 50-55 hours a week

Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred but not necessary
- Minimum of 2 years as a manager at an upscale restaurant
- Detailed knowledge of front and back of house management
- Proficient in budgeting, staff scheduling, interviewing, training, and shift supervision
- Texas Food Handlers Certification
- Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification
Job Duties
- Follows daily manager's agenda and opening and closing checklists for all departments
- Ensures restaurant appearance inside and outside is up to company standards prior to every shift
- Assumes responsibility for departments making sure all schedules are done in accordance with the budget and ensuring the best coverage for customer satisfaction
- Assures all staff training and development is performed correctly and thoroughly to ensure minimal staff turnover
- Coaches new managers and all employees per shift in all departments following job descriptions, policies and procedures
- Reviews incoming front of house hourly applications, conducts initial interviews according to company guidelines, and fills out interview rating forms
- On-boards general manager approved front of house hourly hires
- Attends and participates in manager meetings
- Assigns weekly goals to staff and ensures their completion while accomplishing own goals
- Operates the property in accordance with all state and local laws and ordinances
- Commits to management and continued employee training and development
- Ensures all receiving is physically accounted for at the price quoted
- Keeps all staff training material up to date including employee handbook and training manuals
- Works with accounting to provide accurate information for daily sales reports, profit and loss, budget and payroll
- Assists general manager with planning and executing marketing strategies
- Collaborates with kitchen staff to assure food product quality 100 percent of the time
- Trains staff in all POS functions and associated software
- Ensures guest satisfaction during shifts
- Upholds company policies and procedures according to operating manual
