Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles
  • Strong customer service background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to use POS and relevant technology
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform moderate physical tasks
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Ability to assess, anticipate and meet Guests’ needs consistently
  • Clear and professional communication with Guests, vendors, coworkers and management
  • Adaptability to different personalities of Guests and coworkers

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and ability to meet sales goals
  • Capability to perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials
  • Effective problem solving and conflict management skills
  • General accounting and math skills along with point-of-sale application knowledge
  • Proficiency in operating mechanical devices such as POS systems, credit card machines, mixers and hot beverage makers
  • Ability to evaluate current practices and improve business methods, quality of products and services
  • Effective English speaking and writing skills
  • Flexibility to assist with additional responsibilities and workload as needed
  • Time management and staff delegation skills that promote efficiency and respect for others

Job Duties

  • Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • Follow all Chickies & Petes service, operational and company standards
  • Ensure safe working and dining environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents
  • Complete accident reports promptly in the event a Guest or employee is injured
  • Engage with Guests to ensure satisfaction by conducting table touches
  • Resolve Guest complaints taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied Guests into returning guests
  • Impart importance of speed of service and acting with a sense of urgency
  • Provide support to General Restaurant Manager in daily operations of the restaurant
  • Monitor actions of staff and Guests to ensure safety standards are followed
  • Oversee cleaning of service areas and equipment to maintain sanitation standards
  • Hire, train and terminate, when needed, service staff
  • ensure all paperwork is in order
  • Enforce proper uniform and appearance standards with service staff
  • Prepare server schedules and ensure restaurant is staffed for all shifts
  • relieve staff when needed based on level of business
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling among service staff
  • Ensure service staff is aware of store, food and beverage promotions
  • Prepare, maintain and oversee service staff side work
  • Complete daily floor plans in a timely manner and communicate plan to all necessary staff
  • Perform Micros manager duties in regards to voids, comps, splitting checks, gratuities
  • Ensure service staff provides exceptional service, following all steps of service
  • Additional tasks as assigned
