Job Description
The Finch is a distinguished restaurant that merges the pleasures of casual sophistication with the high standards of fine dining. Known for its distinctive modern style that remains timeless, The Finch boasts colder drinks and bolder flavors, creating a unique culinary experience for every guest. Whether patrons are joining for relaxed encounters or seeking more formal engagements, The Finch stands as a stylish staple, celebrated as an oasis of culinary craft and social elegance. The restaurant's name embodies a spirit of community and charm, fittingly inspired by the idea that a flock of finches is called a 'charm.' This name reflects the establishment's heart—a place of gathering, enjoyment, and shared moments over exquisite food and drink.
The Front of House Manager at The Finch plays a crucial role in sustaining the restaurant’s high standards and ensuring that every guest has an exceptional dining experience. This leadership position involves managing all front-of-house operations, excluding the kitchen, with a strong focus on customer service, staff management, and the overall upkeep and presentation of the dining area. The role demands a dynamic individual who can expertly hire and train bar and waitstaff, supervise dining room appearance, and respond adeptly to customer needs and unexpected situations. The Front of House Manager is responsible for shaping the atmosphere and service level, creating a welcoming ambiance that satisfies both casual diners and formal clientele.
This position requires a proactive approach to managing teams, as the manager must plan shifts using scheduling systems and allocate resources based on anticipated demand. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the role includes hands-on involvement in maintaining the venue's cleanliness and addressing any immediate issues that might arise during service hours. A successful Front of House Manager at The Finch should be passionate about hospitality, attuned to customer satisfaction, and capable of inspiring a team to deliver impeccable service. Joining The Finch means becoming part of a vibrant, dedicated team that values quality, style, and an inviting atmosphere, making every visit memorable for the guests.
