Job Description

SA Hospitality Group is a distinguished hospitality company deeply rooted in Italian tradition, brought to life through the vision of Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli. Since its inception in 2003, the group has successfully expanded its footprint to include a curated collection of iconic neighborhoods across New York City and beyond. The group operates three unique and celebrated brands: Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever, and Felice, which together encompass 24 restaurant locations in key cultural and social hubs such as Manhattan, Southampton, East Hampton, Aspen, Milan, and Palm Beach. Each establishment is a testament to the company’s commitment to old-world Italian sensibilities, artfully blended with a modern-day appeal that resonates with a sophisticated and diverse clientele. This fusion of tradition and contemporary style has positioned SA Hospitality Group as a leader in the upscale dining scene, offering authentic Italian experiences through exceptional cuisine, refined ambiance, and impeccable service.

The open position is designed to support the servers in delivering high-quality service to all guests at any of the group’s renowned locations. The role involves a variety of responsibilities centered around ensuring the dining environment is welcoming, organized, and fully prepared for service. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the standards of excellence that define SA Hospitality Group’s brand identity. This includes setting up tables with all necessary mis en place — such as condiments and candles — as well as keeping stations fully stocked and orderly before and during service. Attention to detail is paramount, particularly when preparing place settings and ensuring the overall presentation is neat.

Additional duties include delivering bread and water promptly to guests, assisting other sections as needed to maintain a smooth workflow, and managing the bread warmer to ensure it remains stocked and organized. The role also requires the clearance and resetting of tables between courses and new guests, which must be done efficiently to uphold the pace and quality expected in a fine dining environment. Side work, as outlined in specific service sheets, must be completed before and after shifts to support the team and uphold operational standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills in English to successfully engage with co-workers, managers, and guests, and possess the flexibility to adapt to various scheduling needs. Working in a fast-paced environment requires multitasking capabilities and a detail-oriented approach. Physical stamina is also essential, as the job involves standing for extended periods, carrying loads up to 40 pounds, and performing active movements such as kneeling, bending, and climbing, in adherence with safety standards.

SA Hospitality Group prides itself on creating an inclusive and supportive workplace. The company complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations as necessary. Employment with SA Hospitality Group signifies joining a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences while fostering a respectful and diverse work environment. The company is an equal opportunity employer, upholding a strict policy of non-discrimination across all employment practices. Candidates can expect a dynamic role that offers opportunities for growth within a well-established, innovative, and prestigious hospitality group.
