The role of Territory Manager with Athletic Brewing entails owning and driving the growth of the Athletic brand within a defined market segment in Central/West Florida, including areas around Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Orlando. This position is highly field-based and execution-focused, requiring frequent in-person account visits and direct engagement with distributors and retail partners. The Territory Manager will be responsible for selling in new product placements, executing innovative retail displays, conducting sampling events, and ensuring brand standards are consistently represented at all points of sale. As the face of Athletic Brewing in the market and local community, this role demands proactive relationship-building, strong organizational skills, and a results-driven approach to expanding distribution and sales across grocery, convenience, drug, on-premise, and non-traditional accounts.
In addition to maintaining strong connections with buyers and distributor sales teams, the Territory Manager will spend a significant amount of time traveling the territory in their personal vehicle to maximize in-trade hours and account interactions. The role includes the responsibility for logging detailed field data and customer insights, tracking commitment progress, and providing actionable feedback to sales and marketing teams. This position involves periodic overnight travel and occasional night and weekend work to support events and activations. Athletic Brewing offers a competitive salary range for this position, with total on-target earnings between $76,000 and $92,000 annually, including base pay, quarterly performance bonuses, and annual sales incentives. Eligible candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the designated Florida cities and have the capacity to fulfill physical tasks such as lifting and setting up promotional materials at events. Job Requirements
- Must reside within commutable distance of Tampa, St. Petersburg, or Orlando
- Ability to drive personal vehicle extensively 5 days per week
- Ability to work minimum 36 hours per week in trade settings
- Willingness to travel overnight periodically
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements including lifting 25+ lbs, climbing stairs, and setting up events
- Available to work nights and weekends occasionally
- Strong organizational and proactive sales approach
- Passionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- Beverage, restaurant, or distributor industry experience valued
- Cicerone level one certification valued
- Strong market selling skills
- Clean driving record
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain inclusive relationships
- Proven capability to manage time and logistics independently
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Enthusiasm for the brewing industry and community engagement
Job Duties
- Represent Athletic Brewing's values and mission in the territory
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with distributors, key retail buyers, and brand partners including sales launch presentations and events/samplings
- Actively drive personal vehicle throughout assigned market 5 days per week to visit accounts and increase business
- Spend minimum 36 hours weekly in trade time at accounts or events
- Conduct periodic overnight travel as required
- Log a minimum of 450 VIP KARMA Survey interactions every 90 days with photos
- Execute visits at priority accounts and log surveys and commitment trackers
- Perform six sampling events every 90 days
- Recap visits weekly to distributors with actionable follow-ups
- Drive sales volume and distribution by identifying new opportunities and motivating distributor sales teams
- Regularly visit new and existing retail opportunities including traditional and non-traditional, on- and off-premise accounts
- Perform samplings, activations, and attend events
- Carry out other duties as assigned with or without notice
