Job Description

Regal Cinemas is a leading entertainment and movie theater chain known for providing an exceptional cinematic experience to moviegoers across the country. As a prominent player in the entertainment industry, Regal is committed to delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The company operates numerous theaters nationwide and offers various premium viewing options, including 3D, RPX, and IMAX, enhancing the moviegoing experience. Regal is also dedicated to promoting responsible service practices and compliance with all local and federal laws, including food safety and alcohol service regulations.

The role of a team member at Regal Cinemas is vital to the theater's smooth operation and the overall guest experience. Team members are classified based on theater needs and employee availability into categories such as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly positions. The primary responsibility of these team members is to ensure that guests receive exceptional service throughout their visit. Depending on the assigned position, team members may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as Ushers.

In the Box Office, team members are responsible for operating the POS system accurately, handling various payment methods, promoting premium viewing experiences, and ensuring compliance with ticket sales policies, including the MPAA rating system. They must engage with guests professionally, answering phone calls and addressing inquiries in a manner consistent with Regal's guest service philosophy.

Concession team members operate concession equipment, manage inventory, promote loyalty programs, and adhere strictly to food safety laws. They are also responsible for up-selling products and ensuring compliance with meal break laws and alcohol serving regulations where applicable. Required training includes understanding and complying with policies related to harassment and discrimination.

Ushers play a key role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment within the theaters by managing crowd control, checking tickets, enforcing policies, and performing regular theater inspections. Ushers also assist guests in locating seats, monitor auditorium cleanliness, and support concession sales during shows. They perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the theater environment is inviting and safe for patrons.

Team members must embody Regal's mission and policies by maintaining regular and consistent attendance, following the dress code, responding effectively to emergencies, and performing general cleaning duties. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the capability to solve problems proactively.

Compensation for this position starts at $16.90 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to offering competitive wages. In addition to pay, Regal offers valuable benefits including free movie passes, discounted concessions, and eligibility to participate in a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching after meeting certain age and service requirements.
