Job Description

As a Front of House (FOH) Manager, you will be responsible for managing the FOH team including hiring, training, scheduling, and ensuring team alignment with BRG's core values. In the absence of the GM, the Manager oversees not only the FOH but also supports the Kitchen Manager in supervising the Back of House operations. This position requires excellent communication skills to clearly instruct team members on service standards and achieve consistent, outstanding guest experiences.\n\nManagers at BRG play an essential role in maintaining the quality of food and beverage offerings by monitoring preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation to uphold brand standards from ingredient arrival through to table service. In addition, the Manager sets the example in hospitality by responding to guest inquiries promptly, supporting servers with guest interaction, maintaining an active presence on the restaurant floor, and resolving guest concerns quickly and professionally. The role demands a commitment to compliance with company policies and government regulations in food safety, labor laws, and general operational standards. \n\nFinancial responsibilities are a significant part of this position, assisting the GM with inventory management, financial projections, budgeting, spending limits, P&L oversight, reporting, and payroll administration. Managers also contribute to cash handling activities including counting money, maintaining cash logs, making bank deposits, and verifying balance accuracies. \n\nThe BRG Manager must exhibit leadership by example, professionalism, and problem-solving skills while supporting a collaborative team environment. This position demands flexibility as it involves working varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Overall, the BRG Manager is integral to sustaining high standards of service, safety, staff development, and financial management that together drive the success of the restaurant and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent is preferred
  • minimum of 3 years industry experience with at least 1 year supervisory or management experience
  • ATC responsible vendor’s license
  • proficiency in Google Workspace applications
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (can be obtained internally)
  • basic math and computer or tablet skills
  • ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment
  • ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional manner
  • superb multitasking skills and an eye for detail
  • positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
  • ability to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress
  • exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong task and time management abilities

Job Duties

  • in service, make brief visits to guests as they are dining to ensure an exceptional dining experience

  • follow BRG’s problem solving process to better the restaurant with inclusion and forward thinking ideas from current industry practices
  • be present in the dining room or ensure if you must leave the floor, that another manager is present in your absence
