The Floating Restaurant Manager position is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the manager, you will be entrusted with managing staff, enforcing food safety standards, and ensuring efficient restaurant operations in a fast-paced setting. Your responsibilities will include coordinating food service, inventory control, and team management to maintain a smooth and welcoming environment. This role will also involve supervising daily restaurant functions such as food preparation, service quality, cleanliness, and overall compliance with health regulations.

Additionally, the successful candidate will utilize point-of-sale systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash management. Managing inventory levels, minimizing food waste, and controlling costs will be critical to the role. You will coordinate kitchen activities including cooking schedules, food presentation, and quality assurance to maintain high standards across the board. Customer service will be a major focus, with the manager actively handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly to sustain high guest satisfaction. Supervising shift management, ensuring smooth operational continuity, and enforcing safety procedures, particularly those unique to floating restaurant operations, will also be part of your duties.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles
  • Experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS preferred
  • Ability to manage and train diverse teams
  • Strong understanding of food safety and health regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work on a floating platform under varying weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required

Job Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in a quick service and fast food restaurant or casual dining environment with a focus on hospitality management
  • Extensive background in food service management including supervising teams in fine dining or catering settings
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen management practices
  • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training and development team management and supervision
  • Background in culinary arts or food production is advantageous but not required
  • Prior experience managing restaurant operations on water or unique venues is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
