Job Requirements

  • maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
  • knowledge of practice management and related computer software
  • attend continuing education as requested
  • perform additional duties as assigned by manager or team leader
  • accurate collection and recording of patient demographic information
  • experience in collecting patient financial responsibilities including copays and prior balances

Job Qualifications

  • college degree preferred
  • minimum one-year experience in high volume healthcare administration
  • excellent customer service skills
  • knowledge of medical practice procedures and terminology
  • familiarity with pre-authorization, insurance verification, scheduling, and EMR systems experience

Job Duties

  • ensure all patient information is collected accurately including email, phone, and address
  • manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
  • verify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements
  • collect patient responsibilities including copays, coinsurance, and prior balances
  • maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • utilize practice management and electronic medical record software
  • communicate effectively with providers and clinic staff to support patient care
