Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to adapt effectively to changing office environments
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to three years of ambulatory healthcare experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law and confidentiality
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to three years of experience in an ambulatory health care facility
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems, Epic preferred
  • Knowledge of third-party payers, ICD-9 and CPT coding is a plus
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams in various settings

Job Duties

  • Travel to various office locations throughout the network as needed
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients ensuring excellent customer service
  • Perform general clerical and reception duties including answering phones and scheduling appointments
  • Manage billing and collection functions accurately
  • Handle patient referrals and registration efficiently
  • Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams across multiple settings
