Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and ability to manage change effectively
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two to three years of experience in an ambulatory health care facility
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law and confidentiality practices
  • Knowledge of Third Party Payers, ICD-9 and CPT coding is a plus
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams and in various settings

Job Duties

  • Travel to various offices within the physician network as needed
  • Manage patient relations and serve as the first point of contact
  • Perform general clerical duties including patient registration
  • Handle billing and collection functions
  • Coordinate patient referrals
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Utilize electronic medical records, preferably Epic, for data entry and management
