Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and Colorado EMT-P certification at hire
- valid driver's license
- flight paramedic certification (FP-C)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
- Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
- minimum five years paramedic experience
- BLS or CPR card valid through sixty days of hire
- compliance with state licenses as required within six months of hire
Job Qualifications
- EMT-paramedic certification
- National Registry EMT
- Certified Flight Paramedic
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course or equivalent
- Prehospital Trauma Life Support or International Trauma Life Support certification
- minimum five years paramedic experience
- preferred experience in high call volume 911 service
- experience as field training officer
- associate's or bachelor's degree
- previous flight or critical care transport experience
- instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC or PHTLS or ITLS
Job Duties
- Provide patient care during all transport phases
- document patient assessment, interventions, and responses
- participate in pre and post transport briefings
- ensure all equipment is operational and complete checklists
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
- provide clinical education to EMS and referring facilities
- actively participate in safety and quality programs
