Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and Colorado EMT-P certification at hire
  • valid driver's license
  • flight paramedic certification (FP-C)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
  • Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
  • minimum five years paramedic experience
  • BLS or CPR card valid through sixty days of hire
  • compliance with state licenses as required within six months of hire

Job Qualifications

  • EMT-paramedic certification
  • National Registry EMT
  • Certified Flight Paramedic
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  • Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course or equivalent
  • Prehospital Trauma Life Support or International Trauma Life Support certification
  • minimum five years paramedic experience
  • preferred experience in high call volume 911 service
  • experience as field training officer
  • associate's or bachelor's degree
  • previous flight or critical care transport experience
  • instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC or PHTLS or ITLS

Job Duties

  • Provide patient care during all transport phases
  • document patient assessment, interventions, and responses
  • participate in pre and post transport briefings
  • ensure all equipment is operational and complete checklists
  • collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
  • provide clinical education to EMS and referring facilities
  • actively participate in safety and quality programs
