Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience in 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license or certification in the states served
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification prior to flight status
- Ability to maintain required licensure and certifications
- Knowledge of emergency medical equipment and supplies
- Ability to complete patient care documentation timely
- Commitment to safety standards
- Capability to function effectively as part of a flight team
- Willingness to fill open or vacant shifts as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience in 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license or certification in states served
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification prior to flight status
- Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months of hire
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- NREMT-P certification may be required
Job Duties
- Complete and submit electronic patient care records within specified timeframes
- Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts
- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care
- Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences
- Document licensure, certifications, and continuing education
- Use and maintain emergency equipment and supplies
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public
- Function as a medical flight team member
- Attend and participate in pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings
- Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot support
- Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of crew, patient, and equipment
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings when necessary
- Fill open or vacant shifts as needed
