Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience in 911 or critical care settings
- Current EMT-P license or certification valid in assigned area
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma prior to flight status
- Ability to obtain FP-C certification within 24 months from hire date
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
- Ability to participate in ongoing competency training
- Knowledge of EMS equipment and safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible shifts and fill vacant shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- Current EMT-P license or certification in assigned states
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Trauma certification prior to flight status
- Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) preferred and required within 24 months
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
- National Registry EMT-Paramedic (NREMT-P) certification may be required
- Minimum three years of experience in 911 or critical care settings
Job Duties
- Complete and submit electronic patient care records within specified time frames
- Conduct daily base checks including narcotic counts
- Provide advanced life support from initial contact until patient care is handed over
- Maintain competency through ongoing clinical and laboratory experiences
- Document licensure, certifications, and continuing education
- Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, and hospitals
- Function as a medical flight team member
- Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefs
- Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot assistance
- Comply with safety standards for crew, patient, and equipment
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings
- Fill open or vacant shifts as directed by Regional Director
