Job Requirements

  • minimum 3 years or 4,000 hours exp as paramedic in 911 ALS or critical care transport or 4,000 hours of in-hospital critical care experience
  • high school diploma or GED
  • colorado state paramedic certification
  • national registry as paramedic
  • maintain currency in all certifications required by CAMTS
  • basic life support and advanced cardiac life support through the American Heart Association
  • pediatric advanced life support within 6 months of hire
  • TPATC or ATLS within 12 months of hire
  • neonatal resuscitation program within 12 months of hire
  • FP-C within 2 years of hire
  • medium work physical capacity lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • colorado state paramedic certification
  • national registry as a paramedic
  • basic life support through the American Heart Association
  • advanced cardiac life support through the American Heart Association
  • pediatric advanced life support within 6 months of hire or transfer date
  • TPATC or ATLS within 12 months of hire or transfer date

  • FP-C certification within 2 years of hire or transfer date
  • minimum 3 years or 4,000 hours of experience as paramedic in 911 ALS or critical care transport or 4,000 hours of in-hospital critical care experience

Job Duties

  • assist in meeting the physical and emotional needs of critically ill and injured patients
  • promote safe and efficient operation of the Flight for Life program
  • provide advanced life support and critical care during patient transport
  • collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure continuity of care
  • operate and maintain specialized medical equipment during transport
  • participate in search and rescue operations and specialized services including avalanche deployment
  • uphold all certifications and standards required by CAMTS and other governing bodies
