Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skilled in reading and writing English
- Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone
- Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately
- Ability to efficiently utilize all assigned equipment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good typing skills with speed and accuracy for processing calls
- Ability to understand basic computer applications
- Minimal medical training or telecommunications experience preferred
- At least one year's experience as EMS or public safety dispatcher preferred

Job Duties
- Respond to customer needs accordingly
- Understand medical terminology and apply critical listening skills to accurately process air transport requests
- Allocate air resources properly using decision-making rules and approved protocols
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of paperwork related to position prior to shift completion
- Perform accurate and complete data entry for the shift
- Generate reports and verify their accuracy
- Assist in locating incident scenes and selecting safest, fastest routes using locator aids
