Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • height and weight allowing safe aircraft operation including sitting in jump seat and fastening harness
  • valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas valid through at least December 31, 2026
  • legal right to work in the U.S. and ability to travel unrestricted to/from all served destinations
  • willingness to relocate based on company needs
  • availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • ability to report for on-call (reserve) duty
  • professional representation of American Airlines brand in uniform
  • no visible tattoos
  • no more than one earring per ear
  • no facial piercings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • minimum two years of customer service experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services
  • strong safety awareness and ability to perform all safety-related procedures
  • ability to read, write, make announcements, and communicate fluently in English
  • service-oriented with commitment to customer satisfaction
  • positive attitude, self-motivated with a desire for success
  • skilled in problem solving and adapting to dynamic environments
  • models integrity with strong ethics and honesty

Job Duties

  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of every customer while following FAA regulations and company procedures
  • responding with leadership and composure to emergency and non-emergency situations
  • meeting high standards of dependability and professionalism to ensure on-time departures and seamless operations
  • demonstrating adaptability and resilience by handling long hours and irregular schedules
  • adhering to company policies, procedures, and performance standards including uniform and appearance guidelines
  • working independently without direct supervision while remaining a collaborative member of the flight crew
  • providing exceptional in-flight service including serving meals and beverages and selling onboard products
  • handling customer-facing situations with professionalism and care
  • operating in diverse global environments including various climates and time zones
