Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience in related industries
  • Height and weight must allow safe aircraft operation including ability to sit in jump seat and fasten harness without modifications or extenders
  • Ability to navigate aircraft cabin aisle and operate emergency exits
  • Valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas valid through at least December 31, 2026
  • Legal right to work in U.S. with unrestricted travel authorization
  • Willingness to relocate based on operational needs
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Available for on-call (reserve) duty at assigned base
  • Professional representation of the American Airlines brand while in Flight Attendant uniform including no visible tattoos, no more than one earring per ear, and no facial piercings

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services
  • Valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas valid through at least December 31, 2026
  • Legal right to work in the United States and ability to travel unrestricted to/from all states and countries served by American Airlines
  • Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Ability to report for on-call (reserve) duty at assigned base
  • Ability to professionally represent the American Airlines brand while wearing the Flight Attendant uniform
  • Resiliency and ability to remain composed and adaptable in unexpected challenges
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and decisively
  • Dependability in attendance and performance
  • Strong customer service skills demonstrating warmth, empathy, and attentiveness
  • Integrity and strong ethical standards
  • Ability to read, write, make announcements, give emergency orders, and communicate fluently in English

  • Provide exceptional in-flight service including serving meals, beverages, and selling onboard products
  • Handle a variety of customer-facing situations with professionalism and care
  • Operate effectively in diverse global environments including various climates and time zones
