Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • must be 23 years of age or older
  • authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel internationally
  • valid driver license and good driving record
  • valid passport
  • understand, read, and write English
  • pass DOT required preemployment drug screen and random drug and alcohol testing
  • pass 10-year work history review and criminal background and fingerprint checks
  • complete Contour's fourweek Flight Attendant Initial Training Program
  • ability to adjust to rotating schedule with variable hours including up to 16-hour duty days
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • polished and professional interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Perform required work duties in an aircraft environment
  • perform all work activities in accordance with established standards, policies, laws, and regulations, including Federal Aviation Administration regulations
  • actively seek to ensure the safety and comfort of customers
  • provide exemplary customer service to satisfy and exceed customer expectations
  • provide assistance lifting and stowing luggage into overhead bins or other storage areas and solicit assistance when needed
  • attend to individuals needing assistance such as unaccompanied minors, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly
  • prepare and serve meals, snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • maintain professional appearance
  • respond during emergency situations by effectively implementing instructions from the flight deck and following required safety and emergency procedures
  • guide or direct passengers during emergency situations to minimize impact and protect passengers and crew
  • provide emergency medical assistance such as performing CPR and basic first aid
  • ensure aircraft and passengers are in full compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and safety measures
  • effectively communicate verbally during onboard announcements and safety demonstrations
  • communicate in writing to complete paperwork and detailed reports regarding incidents and discrepancies
  • retrieve and store items in overhead bins up to 67 inches from the floor
  • manage exposure to peanuts, pets, and other allergens
  • open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds
  • push and pull heavy beverage/food carts requiring 32 pounds of force
  • perform frequent walking, bending, and reaching above shoulder level
  • use galley/cabin service equipment and in-flight entertainment system unsupervised
  • maintain the appearance of the cabin, galley, and lavatory
  • practice safety conscious behaviors in all processes
  • comply with tasks assigned by management or Pilot-in-Command
  • perform other duties as assigned by leadership
