Since then, the company has expanded to operate over 600 locations across the United States, consistently emphasizing quality, integrity, and service in everything they do. As a family-owned and values-driven enterprise, SRM Concrete is deeply committed to serving not only its customers but also its communities and team members with excellence. Their mission revolves around delivering superior concrete products and outstanding service every load, every day.
SRM Concrete’s reputation is built on a foundation of safety, professionalism, and teamwork. They maintain a strong community presence and prioritize a supportive work environment that recognizes hard work and encourages growth among employees. The company operates with the belief that every team member's contribution is vital to their collective success. They offer stable employment with a focus on consistent local routes and no Sunday work, providing a balanced work-life environment.
The role of Fleet Mechanic at SRM Concrete is essential in maintaining the fleet of vital delivery and construction vehicles, including mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment. This hands-on position calls for a skilled individual who enjoys diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy machinery. Whether a seasoned diesel mechanic or someone starting their career in fleet maintenance, SRM Concrete supports continuous learning and professional development by providing thorough training and ongoing technical support.
As a Fleet Mechanic, you will ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the company’s indispensable fleet. Your daily responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements, conducting detailed inspections to catch potential issues early, and using advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems. The role also involves complex repairs such as rebuilding or replacing major components including engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with operations teams to schedule maintenance and minimize vehicle downtime, directly impacting the company’s ability to meet project deadlines and client needs. Maintaining accurate records of all repair and maintenance work is critical, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies in the workshop as well as on job sites. SRM Concrete emphasizes safety protocols and continuous learning, encouraging Fleet Mechanics to stay updated on the latest technologies and repair techniques in the diesel and heavy equipment industry.
In addition to the technical aspects, SRM Concrete offers an employment experience that cares for the whole person. They provide competitive hourly pay with overtime compensated after eight hours, eligibility for bonuses and annual raises, and comprehensive benefits such as low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation and paid time off, a 401(k) plan with a company match, family days, and an inclusive team culture. The company fosters an environment of respect, support, and integrity where every employee’s hard work is valued and recognized.
If you are passionate about mechanics and heavy equipment and are looking for a career with a solid and respected company that offers growth opportunities, work-life balance, and meaningful work that contributes to building America’s infrastructure, SRM Concrete is the right place for you. Apply today to become a critical part of the SRM family and help drive the company’s success forward.
