Since the inception of the first restaurant in Osaka, Japan, in 1977, the Kura Corporation has expanded impressively, boasting over 540 locations across Japan, Taiwan, and the United States. This growth highlights Kura Sushi's commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience rooted in tradition yet enhanced by modern technology. As pioneers of the revolving sushi concept, Kura Sushi seamlessly combines advanced technology, premium ingredients, and affordable pricing to revolutionize the sushi dining experience for its customers.
The company prides itself on a culture that values food, culture, and the unique experience it offers its guests. Joining the Kura Krew means becoming part of a passionate team that prioritizes freshness, quality, and customer satisfaction. Kura Sushi USA believes in creating an inclusive environment where equal opportunity is offered to all employees and applicants without discrimination based on sex, gender identity, age, race, religion, disability, military status, or any other legally protected status. Their commitment to diversity and inclusion underscores their values and makes them an employer of choice in the restaurant industry.
The Fish Cutter position at Kura Sushi is a critical role that demands a passionate, experienced, and reliable team player committed to providing fresh, high-quality food in adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards. Fish Cutters are responsible for accurately cutting, preparing, and portioning fish to Kura Sushi's exacting standards, contributing directly to the exceptional quality of the dining experience. This role requires enthusiasm and a willingness to learn the art of preparing sushi following Kura's strict quality guidelines, making it ideal for individuals interested in advancing their culinary skills in a fast-paced, technologically advanced setting.
This position offers both full-time and part-time hours with a preferred availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, enabling a flexible approach to scheduling that supports a good work-life balance. Pay transparency is a vital aspect of Kura Sushi's employment practices; the role offers a wage of $15.50 per hour, with additional tip earnings possible depending on the position's associated responsibilities. For instance, employees in tip-eligible roles might see projected earnings of about $22.25 per hour, inclusive of tips, although actual earnings will vary based on tip amounts. Such compensation structures make the role financially attractive and rewarding for dedicated employees.
Employees at Kura Sushi benefit from several advantages, including solid tips, meal discounts, flexible scheduling, career advancement opportunities, and a generous employee referral program, incentivizing teamwork and community-building. The company fosters an environment where employees can grow professionally and personally while contributing to a groundbreaking dining concept that is reshaping the sushi restaurant landscape. Overall, the Fish Cutter role offers a chance to be part of an innovative, culturally rich, and supportive work environment designed to cultivate culinary excellence and customer satisfaction.
