Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years food preparation experience
  • One year supervisory experience
  • Completion of New Mexico Food Handlers course
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Flexible to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • Must adhere to attendance policy

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years food preparation experience in a restaurant or food service
  • One year supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
  • Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of banquet menu development

Job Duties

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Banquet Chef with training line cooks
  • Prepare weekly and daily schedules for kitchen staff and pantry
  • Ensure adherence to standard recipes and plating instructions
  • Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen workstations and storage areas
  • Monitor and log food temperature requirements
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints about food quality and service
  • Open and close kitchen operations as necessary
