Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged certification or equivalent
- two years food preparation experience in a restaurant or food service capacity including one year supervisory experience
- successfully complete the new mexico food handlers course
- pass stringent background investigation
- pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- ability to lift 50lbs
- punctual and regular attendance
- ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of culinary techniques and banquet menu development

- knowledge of casino purchasing requirements desirable
Job Duties
- Assist sous chef or banquet chef with training line cooks
- prepare weekly and daily work schedules
- ensure kitchen recipes are followed
- oversee food preparation to meet quality and safety standards
- maintain cleanliness and orderliness of workstations and storage areas
- assign daily cleaning tasks
- advise management on equipment repairs and follow up
- ensure proper food temperature controls and log maintenance
- investigate and resolve guest complaints
- open and close kitchen as necessary
- ensure proper food handling and use of gloves
- prevent food waste
- perform additional duties as assigned
- adhere to attendance policy
