Job Requirements

  • Four or more years of related work experience
  • ServeSafe certification required or must be obtained within first 90 days
  • ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and evenings
  • advanced knife skills
  • knowledge of HACCP policy compliance
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving food supplies
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Four or more years of related work experience
  • high school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and cash-handling procedures preferred
  • ServeSafe certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days

Job Duties

  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station
  • operate kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients and prepare fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, or fish
  • provide highest quality of service to customers
  • taste products and estimate food requirements to plan production and requisition supplies
  • clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • comply with HACCP policies and safety procedures
  • participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments
  • produce small to large batch goods using classical and contemporary cooking techniques
  • follow complex recipes for preparing and serving various foods
  • assist with supervision and training of kitchen personnel
  • select recipes, prepare bakery items, receive inventory, and prepare special diet meals
  • act as lead cook guiding less experienced cooks
  • perform advanced cooking duties independently
  • demonstrate advanced knife skills
  • oversee production staff and assign tasks
  • use production software to enter data
  • take and manage inventory
  • perform other assigned duties
