Job Description

The Sommelier oversees and manages the fine dining property's beverage program, focusing on promoting and maximizing wine sales. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, developing menus, staff training, inventory control, health and safety compliance, creating/updating wine lists, pairing wines with food, advising guests on wine choices, managing the wine cellar, conducting wine tastings, and ensuring high-quality service. The Sommelier also acts as a floor manager for other operations, ensuring consistent guest experiences and training the team in service standards. This role involves monitoring beverage quality, portion sizes, presentation, and supporting servers with guest interaction and maintaining BRG standards.
