FIFA26 is the official organizing body behind the monumental FIFA World Cup 26™, a globally celebrated sporting event that unites millions through soccer. For the first time in its history, the FIFA World Cup will feature an expanded roster of 48 teams and will be uniquely hosted across three host countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Within this dynamic global context, the role of the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Coordinator is pivotal to ensuring the fan experience is seamless, enjoyable, and memorable. Reporting directly to the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Lead, this position involves working collaboratively with the FIFA Headquarters and various key stakeholders to deliver operational excellence at FIFA World Cup 26™ venues. The Venue Coordinator acts as a crucial liaison, overseeing gate supervisors and managing fan operations volunteers to guarantee smooth event flow. The role entails briefing teams, organizing the deployment of operational equipment, coordinating with multiple departments including Accessibility and Audio Descriptive Commentators, and maintaining key assets throughout the event.

This is a fixed-term contract based in Miami, requiring on-site presence throughout match days. Candidates will engage in high-pressure environments and must demonstrate leadership, innovation, and quick decision-making skills while maintaining a positive atmosphere for fans and staff. The position demands a hands-on approach to problem-solving and event management in a fast-paced, ever-evolving event setting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in event management and/or operations roles
  • Experience working and collaborating with large teams
  • Public speaking experience
  • Leadership experience with part time staff and/or volunteers a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools

Job Duties

  • Serve as a point of contact for the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Lead on all fan services operations
  • Manage the gate supervisors ensuring they are briefed and have the operational equipment required
  • Responsible for the deployment, briefing and overall management of the fan operations volunteers
  • Ensure that critical event and venue information is available to fans and staff through multiple channels
  • Coordinate with Audio Descriptive Commentators
  • Oversight of the Restricted Item Storages located across the stadium
  • Work alongside the Accessibility team to ensure all mobility and accessible services are delivered to a high standard
  • Responsible for the maintenance and deployment of company assets and equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and solve any potential issues
  • Other duties as assigned by Fan Operations Venue Lead
