Job Requirements

  • Possess an Associate's degree or related trade certification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related field service experience
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to travel daily within the Philadelphia Metro area and respond to emergency calls
  • Must pass federal background investigation including Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access vetting
  • Must be able to lift 80 lbs, push/pull 200 lbs, and move equipment up to 1000 lbs with assistance
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends or non-standard hours as needed
  • Must comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Must submit expenses and administrative tasks within specified timelines
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Must be a self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual
  • Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to work in stressful environments
  • Must have the ability to work safely in extreme environmental conditions
  • Eligible to obtain U.S. Personal Security Clearance if required

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or related trade certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems
  • Competency in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software
  • Excellent communication skills with strong customer focus and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to travel at short notice
  • Experience working under high security requirements and willingness to comply with federal background checks
  • Ability to maintain technical certifications
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction
  • Foster positive customer relations and communicate effectively with customers
  • Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field
  • Respond to emergency and non-scheduled service calls within established response times
  • Complete all scheduled maintenance within deadlines and document all work
  • Order, install, and return parts while managing repair parts cycle time
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and tools
  • Maintain currency on all technical certifications
  • Review logs for open issues and prepare formal customer reports
  • Participate in service sales opportunities and assist with revenue programs
  • Seek knowledge growth and support from senior level Field Service Technicians
  • Ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
  • Assess product performance from field data and recommend improvements
  • Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals
  • Participate in site surveys, pilot programs, meetings, and special projects
  • Maintain clear and concise business communication orally and in writing
  • Establish close relationships with senior FSTs and Product Managers
  • Control and minimize costs while maximizing revenue
  • Submit expenses, timecards and administrative tasks timely
  • Comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Comply with U.S. export control and security regulations
  • Other duties as required
