Ecolab is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team based in El Paso, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work independently in the field, providing expert support and hands-on service for water treatment and disinfection systems in strategic district accounts within a 120-mile radius. The technician will be instrumental in building trusted relationships with customers while delivering solutions that protect vital resources and improve operational performance. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for delivering expert service on cooling tower cleaning and water disinfection, performing required chemistry tests, maintaining product inventories, and providing technical support to customers. They will execute customer system assurance plans in collaboration with Sales Representatives and escalate complex challenges when necessary. Additionally, the technician will install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed and process monitoring equipment at customer accounts, ensuring operational compliance and safety.

It incorporates up to 25% overnight travel and serves customers in the Global High Tech industries. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in water treatment or an industrial or mechanical environment
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to hot, cold, noisy, or dirty environments
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, balance, walk, stand, and climb

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in water treatment or an industrial or mechanical environment
  • Position requires a current and valid driver’s license with no restrictions
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position
  • Associate’s degree or trade school certification preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Experience in water treatment or specialty chemical industry preferred
  • Familiarity with boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Job Duties

  • Deliver expert service and support for cooling tower cleaning and water disinfection
  • Provide technical support and escalate complex challenges as needed
  • Build strong relationships with customers and promote best practices
  • Ensure full compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts
  • Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to execute agreed upon customer system assurance plans
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • identifying and resolving customer pain points, escalating as required
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at customer accounts
