Job Description

Solenis is a global leader in the specialty chemicals industry, focusing on the development of innovative solutions that improve the quality, safety, and sustainability of various industrial processes. With a strong presence in the Food & Beverage sector, Solenis offers advanced cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and equipment tailored to the unique challenges of industrial food, beverage, and dairy operations. Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility, Solenis combines scientific expertise with practical application to help its clients maintain exceptional standards of hygiene and efficiency. The company fosters a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and technological advancement, making it an ideal place for ambitious professionals to advance their careers.

As a Field Service Specialist in the Industrial Food & Beverage division at Solenis, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and equipment are used effectively, economically, and safely across your assigned district. This field-based position involves routine service visits to client accounts, conducting testing and monitoring to verify the success of food safety programs. You will work closely with sales account managers in designing and implementing customized cleaning and sanitizing programs, including Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Outside Process Clean (OPC) protocols, which are critical components in maintaining high standards within food and beverage production facilities. The role demands a deep understanding of CIP processes, particularly in food, beverage, and dairy operations, and the ability to manage and improve these programs continually.

Flexibility is crucial, as you will need to adjust your schedule to accommodate plant cleaning operations and preventative maintenance, which often occur during nights and weekends. You must be comfortable working in industrial plant environments while adhering strictly to company safety protocols, customer regulations, and OSHA standards. This position emphasizes proactive problem-solving and technical support, requiring you to address and resolve issues on-site efficiently, keeping sales account managers well-informed of any developments. Data management is also integral to the role, with responsibilities including updating service visit records in databases and generating weekly reports to track program performance.

Beyond technical support and maintenance, you will have the opportunity to contribute to business development by identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts and assisting sales teams with prospective clients. Your analytical skills will be put to use in evaluating program data to recommend improvements and ensure optimal performance. Continuous professional development is encouraged, with regular technical training to keep your skills sharp and knowledge current. This comprehensive role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by an incentive plan, annual merit increases, and a robust benefits package. The position is on the road, providing a dynamic work environment for those who thrive in field-based roles and enjoy direct interaction with clients.
