Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology or equivalent FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or military certification
- Minimum 3 years experience understanding and communicating technical issues
- Minimum 3 years experience navigating aircraft maintenance documents
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid travel passport
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 75%
- Must be willing to be on-call 24/7
- Willingness to work extended hours as necessary
- Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be willing to travel frequently and accept back-to-back assignments
- Ultimately able to work on-site at Seal Beach, CA or Seattle, WA offices with possible telecommuting between assignments
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology or equivalent FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or military certification
- 3+ years of experience understanding and communicating technical issues
- 3+ years experience navigating aircraft maintenance documents including AMM, IPC, MPD, SRM, WDM
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid travel passport
- Ability to travel internationally up to 75%
- Proven critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with 737, 777, or 787 aircraft operations, systems, avionics, engineering or flight test preferred
- Prior customer support experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience coordinating technical solutions for airline customers
- Familiarity with 737, 777, 787 or other aircraft systems, airline operations and troubleshooting
Job Duties
- Use multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer in achieving and sustaining high dispatch reliability and operational proficiency
- Investigate product problems, determine cause, and develop and implement corrective action
- Understand customer expectations and assist in interpreting and using support data and documents
- Provide technical on-the-job training of aircraft systems and Boeing products and services
- Act as the on-site liaison between Boeing and customer personnel of varying backgrounds
- Work unsupervised for extended periods in diverse cultural and economic environments
- Provide technical and operational product data to Boeing organizations
- Travel extensively including multiple continuous short-term assignments
- Communicate effectively with all management levels and customers
- Be available on-call 24/7 as required by customer support needs
