Job Requirements
- bachelors of science degree in engineering, engineering technology or faa airframe & powerplant license or equivalent certification or military experience/training
- 3+ years of experience understanding and communicating technical issues
- 3+ years of experience navigating aircraft maintenance documents
- must hold or ability to obtain and maintain a valid travel passport
- ability to travel internationally up to 75%
- must be willing to be on call 24x7 as required
- experience with 737, 777 or 787 operations, systems, avionics, engineering or flight test preferred
- prior customer support experience desired
- ability to work unsupervised in diverse environments
- ability to travel extensively on multiple/continuous assignments
- strong critical thinking and communication skills
- must be willing to accept back to back assignments domestic and foreign
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology or FAA Airframe & Powerplant license or equivalent certification or military experience/training
- 3+ years of experience understanding and communicating technical issues
- 3+ years of experience navigating aircraft maintenance documents
- ability to obtain and maintain a valid travel passport
- strong critical thinking and communication skills
- experience coordinating technical solutions for airline customers
- ability to travel internationally up to 75%
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- familiarity with 737, 777, 787 or other airplane systems, aircraft ramp environment, airline operations and troubleshooting
- prior customer support experience preferred
- 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Job Duties
- Use multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain high dispatch reliability and proficiency
- investigate product problems, determine cause, and develop and implement corrective action
- understand customer expectations and assist in interpreting and using support data and documents
- provide technical on-the-job training of aircraft systems and Boeing products and services
- act as the on-site liaison between Boeing and customer personnel
- work unsupervised for extended periods in diverse cultural and economic environments
- provide technical and operational product data to Boeing organizations
- travel extensively for multiple or continuous short-term assignments
- communicate effectively with all levels of management and customers
- be willing to work on-call 24/7
- accept back-to-back assignments both domestic and foreign
- support emergent airline customer requirements
