Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety engineering or related field preferred
  • One to three years of directly related experience in operations and safety
  • Proven analytical and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and lead others to achieve desired results and budgets
  • Understanding of governmental regulations such as OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA, and applicable state agencies
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications

Job Duties

  • Supervise and ensure compliance with company ramp and employee safety initiatives
  • Partner with CSC Leadership regarding employee safety issues including OSHA, FAA, EPA, DOT, and state agencies
  • Coordinate ramp and employee safety initiatives and measurement systems set by company and customer
  • Regularly train employees on all employee safety and ramp safety SOPs
  • Supervise daily area and department activities in the CSC
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Coordinate and ensure all accidents are investigated and corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained
  • Partner with CSC Leadership to ensure audit readiness
  • Ensure the area is properly organized, staffed, and directed
  • Guide, motivate, and develop subordinate employees within human resources policy
  • Participate in coaching the Global Performance System process and career development activities
  • Promote company values and management principles
  • Participate and support company-sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and CBase
