Job Description
MasTec Renewables is a leading company in the renewable energy construction industry, comprising Wanzek Construction, IEA Constructors, and White Construction. With more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, MasTec Renewables is part of the larger MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure business segment, a major player in construction services across industrial, renewables, and infrastructure sectors. The MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure segment generates over $4 billion in annual revenue with a focus on solar, wind, and battery storage projects. The company is a minority-owned Fortune 500 organization with over 35,000 employees and 400 offices nationwide. This scale and expertise provide numerous opportunities for career growth, flexibility, and participation in innovative projects that are shaping the future of sustainable energy. MasTec values diversity and fosters an inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and leadership development at all levels.
The Quality Manager role at MasTec Renewables is a vital field position that involves extensive travel—up to 100% of the time—across the United States. This position caters to professionals interested in overseeing field quality execution for renewable energy projects, such as wind and solar farms. Each project assignment typically lasts between 8 to 16 months, and the company supports its employees with a daily per diem allowance, company vehicle, and fuel card. MasTec offers one of the industry's leading rotational programs, allowing regular travel home from job sites.
In this role, the Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring inspection readiness, applying compliance controls, and standardizing processes across various projects. The manager supports Field Quality Managers through coaching, audits, training, and site engagement, assisting teams to effectively resolve nonconformances and perform root cause analysis. The Quality Manager also drives continuous improvement initiatives by developing quality standards, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing lessons learned along with Lean management practices. By promoting adherence to the company’s Quality program, the manager plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality construction standards and meeting regulatory and company expectations. This role requires strong leadership, coaching abilities, problem-solving skills, and experience with quality management systems and software tools.
The position offers competitive full-time employment with an annual salary range between $100,000 and $120,000, commensurate with experience. Employees benefit from ongoing performance reviews and merit increases. Financial perks include participation in a 401(k) plan with company match, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and access to flexible spending accounts covering healthcare and dependent care. Health and wellness benefits are comprehensive, offering multiple insurance options for medical, dental, vision, telehealth, diabetes management, prescription drug coverage, and even pet insurance. The company also supports family needs through paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, and special military leave with differential pay. Additional benefits include employee assistance programs and extensive planning for unexpected situations, including short- and long-term disability, life insurance, accidental death coverage, voluntary insurance plans, emergency travel assistance, and group legal services.
This role may require pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing. MasTec is committed to equal employment opportunities and prohibits discrimination or harassment based on protected categories such as race, sex, religion, age, disability, military status, and more. The company's commitment to an inclusive and respectful workplace ensures all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s mission of advancing renewable energy infrastructure.
