The Food and Beverage Supervisor role at Azul Hospitality is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and organizing food and beverage functions within the hotel outlets to maintain high standards of quality, service, and merchandising. The supervisor also performs general cleaning tasks adhering to safety and health standards and evaluates customer acceptance of the food and beverage services, recommending operational or marketing improvements when necessary.
In supporting functions, the Food and Beverage Supervisor assists with guest inquiries, follows company safety and security policies, reports maintenance or safety issues, and performs other reasonable duties as assigned. Physically, the role demands the ability to work in varying temperature conditions, stand or move for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and good vision and hearing.
This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in relevant computer programs, solid leadership abilities, excellent customer relations, and detailed organizational capabilities. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma (bachelor's degree preferred), with 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage operations. Certifications such as Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers are mandatory, along with a minimum age of 21 to serve alcohol. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- High school or equivalent education
- 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operation
- Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards
- Regular attendance as per company policy
- Ability to work varying schedules according to hotel business needs
- Willingness to comply fully with hotel rules and regulations
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
- Must have finger dexterity and visual and hearing acuity
- Ability to perform manual cleaning tasks

Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operation
- Good communication skills, verbal, written and electronic
- Excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Basic computational skills
- Knowledge of computer programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities

- Knowledgeable about basic function of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
- Self-driven and able to work independently

- Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation
- Ability to distinguish product quality, taste, texture, and presentation
- Ability to conduct meetings, menu briefings and maintain communication lines between staff and managers
Job Duties
- Support and supervise the hotel F&B outlets while working closely with the rest of the F&B leadership team
- Maintain consistent communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
- Participate in department monthly, quarterly, annual inventories
- prepare and submit inventory reports to accounting in a timely manner
- Monitor quality of service and product
- Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- Conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
- Stay up to date on brand requirements and changes to the restaurant
- Ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction results
- Responsible for maintaining high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
- Perform any general cleaning tasks using the hotel's standard procedures and adhering to safety and health standards
- Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer acceptance of the restaurant and bar
- Recommend to management new operating and marketing policies whenever declining or constant sales imply dissatisfaction by the customers
- Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of the staff members in the food and beverage department
- Responsible for maintaining quality of food product and ensuring consistency in food delivery and standards
- Arrange, provide, and supervise training of new staff members to include familiarization of property, standard operating procedures, and policies
- Cross-train staff members in all positions within their area of responsibility and all types of equipment to perform their duties
- Serve as a role model to all staff members, adhering closely to policies and procedures, practicing the highest standards of performance
