Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • or hold a 4-year college degree and have at least 3 years of related experience
  • or hold a 2-year college degree and have 4 or more years of related experience
  • Must be proficient in Windows, spreadsheets and word processing
  • Must have knowledge of F&B preparation, health department rules, liquor laws
  • Must be able to work long hours sometimes
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Must be attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented
  • Must attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Must participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
  • Must maintain regular attendance according to scheduling needs
  • Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees
  • Supervise and manage all food and beverage personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Participate in F&B budget, forecasting and monitor department performance
  • Monitor industry trends and take appropriate action
  • Work with the F&B Manager and keep informed of F&B issues
  • Keep immediate manager fully informed of problems or matters requiring attention
  • Coordinate and monitor all phases of Loss Prevention in the F&B department
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Participate in department inventories and prepare inventory reports
  • Organize and conduct department meetings regularly
  • Monitor quality of service and product
  • Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure timely purchase of F&B items within budget
  • Oversee operations of the employee cafeteria
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure departmental compliance with SOPs
  • Ensure training on SOPs, report preparation, technical tasks
  • Attend and/or conduct departmental and hotel training
  • Interview candidates for F&B positions and follow hiring standards
  • Conduct and/or attend all required meetings
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
