Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated F&B Supervisor to join our team during the PM shift. This supervisory role is crucial for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage service and ensuring all guests receive an exceptional dining experience. The F&B Supervisor will be responsible for managing multiple front-of-house positions including hosting, bartending, serving, and inventory and ordering processes, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all stations. This role requires an individual who can anticipate guest needs, handle complaints with tact and professionalism, and promote a positive environment for both guests and staff.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to guide and support the food and beverage team while maintaining high standards of service quality and food presentation. Responsibilities will include monitoring guest satisfaction, adherence to hotel policies, promoting sanitation, safety, and security, and managing financial transactions and inventory oversight. Familiarity with Point of Sale software, Time Management systems, and other hospitality-specific software is essential to the role. The position demands a proactive approach to coordination, problem-solving, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere that aligns with the hotel's reputation and guest expectations. Strong communication skills, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are also key traits for success in this role.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • must be able to read, write, and speak English

  • knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred but not required
  • ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic math

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending experience
  • minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in food service operations
  • must have state issued food handler's certificate
  • must have state alcohol server certification
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage and motivate a team
  • competent in hospitality software and point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests however busy and whatever time of day
  • Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with team members to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times and resolve guest complaints to over-the-moon satisfaction
  • Follow hotel policies with lost and found items
  • Adhere to hotel requirements for guest and team member accidents or injuries and in emergency situations
  • Continuously promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts
  • Encourage hotel scheduled social media and 5-star compliments or reviews on OTA's
  • Lead and supervise the food and beverage team including servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and efficient team
  • Ensure a warm and welcoming environment for guests, overseeing service standards, and addressing guest concerns promptly
  • Monitor the quality of service and food presentation
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features and services, scheduled in-house group activities and locations, all hotel and departmental policies and procedures, point of sale software, and time management systems
  • Assist in overseeing all F&B inventories and financial transactions
  • Oversee cash handling and check/credit policies and procedures
  • Inspect, plan, and ensure all materials and equipment are ready for service
  • Report all accidents and breakages to the F&B Manager or Executive Chef
  • Adhere to relevant food safety hygiene standards
  • Coordinate breaks and assign work duties to team members
  • Assist team members with their job functions to ensure optimum guest service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
