The role of a Shift Manager II at Avolta is critical in supporting the daily management and operational excellence of busy Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), Casual Dine establishments, or similar food service operations. Job Requirements
- Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours each week including opening, busy day parts and closing
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local sanitary, safety and health standards
- Compliance with HACCP standards
- Ability to supervise associates and handle management duties
- Must be a non-exempt position as per Fair Labor Standards Act

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years food and beverage experience
- Minimum 2 years supervisory or lead experience in Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Comfortable conversing with customers
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and other food safety regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with cash handling and customer service
Job Duties
- Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
- Assists General Manager/Assistant General Manager in managing by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within defined restaurants or points-of-sale
- Ensures compliance with all company adult beverage policies and procedures
- Participates in the interview process, provides input in hiring, recommends termination, advancement, or promotion of associates
- Assigns work tasks and activities, participates in preparing schedules, and ensures all shifts are covered
- Actively ensures all associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
- Ensures display areas are clean, stocked and visually appealing
- Ensures all equipment is in good working order
- Operates cash register and voids transactions as needed while following cash handling policies and maintains proper security of cash
- Monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures, reports any safety concerns to General Manager
- Understands and performs all Health and Safety activities as specified in Manager's Guide to Associate Health and Safety
- Places orders for individual units, receives goods, processes invoices
- Ensures company has current contact information for all associates working in the restaurant
