The company's influence stretches across diverse sectors of hospitality, including bespoke lifestyle hotel brands, legacy brands, and independent hotels and resorts. By leveraging cutting-edge revenue management technology and digital acumen, Highgate remains at the forefront of forecasting market trends and driving operational outperformance globally.
One landmark property within the Highgate portfolio is The Newbury Boston at One Newbury Street. Situated in Boston’s prestigious Back Bay area, this iconic hotel originally opened as one of the first Ritz-Carlton hotels in the United States back in 1927 and has evolved through prestigious transformations, most recently functioning as the Taj Boston. Today, The Newbury Boston stands as a contemporary 286-room luxury hotel exuding elegance and refinement with 16,000 square feet of exquisite event space, redefined dining experiences, and a refreshed entrance on Newbury Street. This prestigious property blends historical significance with modern hospitality excellence.
The Food & Beverage Manager in Training role at The Newbury Boston offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to all facets of food and beverage operations within a luxury hotel context. This hourly position involves supporting both front and back of house operations, including floor and kitchen coverage, administrative functions, guest communication, and marketing support. The role is integral to delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests while assisting in the seamless operation of the food and beverage department. It is an excellent stepping stone for individuals aspiring to refine their hospitality management skills under the guidance of industry leaders at a world-renowned property.
As a Food & Beverage Manager in Training, candidates will be immersed in a dynamic environment where multitasking, problem-solving, and guest relations are vital. The position requires an individual who maintains a warm and professional demeanor and is adept at communicating with employees and guests across all levels effectively and courteously. Responsibilities extend beyond daily operations to include participation in cross-departmental training, meetings, and the application of high standards and safety regulations established by Highgate. The role also demands proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office and Delphi FDC for operational reporting and event planning.
This is not just a job but an opportunity to develop a solid foundation in guest services, administrative coordination, and operational leadership within a celebrated hotel brand.
