Hotel Longmont, located in Longmont, Colorado, is an exciting new boutique lifestyle hotel currently under development and set to open in early summer. This modern hotel is designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers with a unique, locally inspired experience. Featuring 84 guest rooms and suites, the property includes a rooftop bar and restaurant, alongside approximately 2,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. The role of Food & Beverage Manager at Hotel Longmont represents a unique opportunity to join the pre-opening team and help shape the foundation of the hotel's food and beverage operations. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this full-time role offers a salary range of $60,000-65,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for maintaining exemplary standards of guest service, safety, and cleanliness within all food and beverage outlets, including the restaurant and rooftop bar. The successful candidate will bring previous food service and bar experience along with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role involves oversight of hiring, development, scheduling, and training of team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Within this position, the Food & Beverage Manager will ensure high levels of service and quality control in all operational aspects, guaranteeing that each guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. Responsibilities include managing cash deposits, opening and closing procedures, and supporting kitchen operations when necessary to uphold culinary standards. The manager will also be involved in special events, service task delegation, staff communication, and ensuring a neat and professional appearance among team members. Mastery of hospitality etiquette such as tableside wine service and addressing guest needs proactively are key to this role. By embodying a positive company culture and building strong relationships, the Food & Beverage Manager will play an integral role in delivering the vision of Hotel Longmont as a premier destination for hospitality within the region. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food service and bar experience
  • Strong leadership and guest service skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to food and beverage service

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of prior leadership experience in the food and beverage industry preferred
  • Knowledge of proper food handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and work with minimum supervision
  • Reliable attendance with the flexibility to work varied days and shift as well as holidays
  • Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
  • Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google), POS systems, and reservations software
  • Must have some familiarity of basic cooking skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee a team of employees including hiring, development, scheduling and training and ensuring a positive working environment for all team members
  • Ensure high-level of service in all aspects of operations and give each guest a memorable dining experience
  • Properly handle daily cash deposits
  • Open or close the restaurant when necessary, securing cash, liquor, and entry points
  • Assist kitchen with prep work or plating if necessary, ensuring that every dish that leaves the kitchen is of the highest quality and has all the proper garnishments and is cooked to specification
  • Assure cleanliness of front of the house areas including windows, light fixtures and entrance as assigned
  • Assign service-related tasks to servers
  • Properly check out servers and bartenders at the end of their shift
  • Bus tables and assist with processing dirty dishes if necessary
  • Ensure dining tables are properly prepared for service
  • Communicate to staff all current menu choices, specials and menu deviations
  • Be able to open and pour wine at tableside
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Ensure team members uniform is neat and professional and grooming standards have been followed
  • Anticipate and address guests service needs
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
