The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager role at Excel Hotel Group is a critical leadership position tasked with overseeing all food and beverage operations within the hotel. This management role involves planning, staff supervision, strategy development, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while striving to maximize guest satisfaction and meet financial targets. The F&B Manager will be responsible for the operation of multiple outlets, including restaurants, bars, and coffee bars, leading both front of house and back of house teams to uphold high standards of service and culinary creativity. This position requires a proactive leader who can manage budgets, vendor relationships, inventory, and point of sale systems efficiently.

The F&B Manager at Excel Hotel Group will direct the scheduling and timekeeping for all F&B staff, handle cash procedures in line with audit requirements, and ensure accurate tip reporting and distribution. Job Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • a minimum of three years of experience in food and beverage management within the hospitality industry
  • must have valid Food Handler’s card and be TIPS certified
  • must have current ServeSafe Manager certification
  • availability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • ability to stand and remain active for the duration of the shift
  • demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • ability to follow verbal instructions and complete tasks within required timeframes
  • ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • a minimum of three years of experience in food and beverage management within the hospitality industry
  • proven track record of managing successful F&B operations in a hotel setting
  • experience in budgeting and financial management for F&B departments
  • demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of F&B professionals

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement food and beverage strategies to achieve business objectives and enhance guest satisfaction
  • oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar and coffee bar
  • manage and lead the F&B FOH and BOH team, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to maintain high service standards
  • lead the culinary team to design innovative menus that meet customer preferences and budgetary constraints
  • monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective operations
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all F&B areas
  • analyze financial reports to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
